About Me

My name is Clem. A particular characteristic about me is that I am visually impaired, but this difference has never prevented me from living my life. Another unique characteristic is that I own a brand. Back in 2012, my parents created a solar and optical brand representing my sister and I. The name is Clemence&Margaux. The story is that Margaux, young woman in love with fashion, designed some glasses for Clemence, her little sister who is visually impaired.

I was born and raised in France. Ever since I was a teenager, my dream was to live and study in the United States. Thus, as an open-minded, curious and determined person, I’ve decided to pursue my dream. After doing some research, I applied at Miami Dade College and I left France for this opportunity.

Back in 2016, I started my Associate Degree in Hospitality Management. I loved it but I realized that this was not what I really wanted to do.

Two years later, I started my Bachelor Degree in Management and Supervision. I strongly recognized myself in this field. While I was studying, I wanted to acquire some professional experience. Therefore, I worked for my brand. I worked as a content creator. I used to post glasses pictures along with an appropriate text aiming at appealing the target audience. I was also given the responsibility to design and conduct satisfaction surveys over the phone in order to have a better understanding of how people perceive the brand and how we could better meet their expectations. I also reached out to influencers on social media to find out if they would be interested in partnering with us and I am happy to have been able to collaborate with 22 influencers. I participated into professional fairs such as the Silmo in Paris or the Mido in Milan where I have been able to meet with industry professionals and clients which helped me expand my knowledge on the current optical market. In 2019, I had the chance to travel to Hong Kong to see how frames are designed, developed, and made.

In 2021, I graduated. I worked as a digital content creator for Ethny Corner which is a purses brand. Then, I started working for Cataleya Boutique which is a laundry brand. I expanded my knowledge in the content creation. I also wrote newsletters for upcoming products or events.

Since January, I have been completing my master’s degree in marketing at FIU to acquire some additional knowledge.

Lastly, I would like to share with you that I signed with @zebedeetalent which is a model agency. I wanted to prove myself that regardless of my disability, anything is possible. This helps me gain confidence which will be helpful to reach any future personal or professional goals.
